JFRD Cell Incident Management Device comes in South Florida to assist with rescue endeavours at collapsed rental

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department’s Mobile Incident Management Unit arrived early Saturday in South Florida to assistance with rescue initiatives at the Surfside condominium constructing that collapsed Thursday.

The device is composed of a semi and a pickup truck hauling a generator.

It arrived in the Miami location about 1:30 a.m. Saturday and was established up and entirely operational significantly less than a few several hours later, JFRD mentioned.

“My views and prayers are with the victims, survivors, their close friends and households, and our adult males and women of all ages from @thejfrd Jax Hearth/Rescue who are now part of the rescue endeavours,” Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry tweeted Saturday early morning.

Jacksonville Metropolis Councilman Rory Diamond tweeted: “Just off the mobile phone with Surfside Town Manager Andy Hyatt. He mentioned their neighborhood was just so grateful for @lennycurry sending a JFRD Unexpected emergency Administration Cellular Unit to support with the rescue.”
